This site, the mailing list and the forum are run by Bitrich.info Ltd,Kalymnou 1, 6037 Larnaca, Cyprus (EU VAT CY10426342O), the studio behind Port Control. We are the controller of the data described here. Write to[email protected] with any question or request.

This website

portcontrol.eu sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third parties: fonts and images are served from our own server. Like every web server, ours writes an access log (IP address, time, page requested, browser) for security and troubleshooting, on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service running. The logs are deleted on a rolling basis after 30 days.

The mailing list

When you join the list we store your email address, a display name taken from it, the time you signed up and the time you confirmed. We use them only to send Port Control news: dev logs and the launch of the Steam page. The legal basis is your consent, and we ask for it twice: you are only added after you click the link in the confirmation email.

Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops all mail at once; ask us and we delete your address completely. We do not sell or share the list, and we do not track opens or clicks per person. The list runs on our own server (Listmonk, open source).

The forum

An account on forum.portcontrol.eu needs a username, an email address and a password (stored only as a hash). What you post is public. The forum sets the cookies it needs to keep you logged in; they are not used for tracking. The legal basis is our agreement with you when you create the account. You can delete your posts, and we delete your account on request.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, and take it elsewhere. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection (dataprotection.gov.cy) or to the authority where you live.
